Modern medicine

Modern medicines are very powerful in deed but they lack sympathy and authority to be completely successful.  Doctors tend to address the body and leave out the mind and sprit.

When was the last time you spent half an hour chatting to your doctor about your health?  You are lucky if he/she spends 10 minutes with you.

When was the last time your doctor told you the medicine he is prescribing to you, will definitely cure you?  Not common because if you are not cured you will sue him/her.

When you go into a hospital for an operation does the person who is going to cut you open spend half an hour with you? Of course not, he tells you what he is going to do and leaves because he has not got the time to spend with you.  When he has finished his operation he perhaps leaves it to someone else to stitch you up and you may see him later if the hospital does not throw you out in a day or so because the bed is badly needed for the next patient.
